Esky HDTV Amplified Antenna Outdoor 150 Miles Long Range Support 1080P 4K Digital TV Hd Antenna Detachable Amplifier Signal Booster 33 Feet Coax Cable

Dropped my cable TV a couple of years ago but was still getting clear QAM channels from TWC....but they were eliminated recently so I went looking at OTA solutions. This Esky antenna is the same model sold under different names by various other sellers on Amazon and elsewhere. It looks and feels like a toy, the bulk of its construction is plastic. I was dubious but it was inexpensive and I was willing to give it a test run. I didn't want to get involved with grounding the antenna so I installed in the rafters of my 2 car garage. The garage roof is chipboard with one layer of asphalt shingles. Fortunately all of the stations I was interested in were within 3 degrees direction of each other and within 28 miles (line-of-sight) from my home. Ordinarily this does not pose a big challenge for any indoor antenna except in my backyard there was a 40 foot high hill with a thick grove of trees between the antenna and the stations. Although it works I am glad I have no use for the rotor function since there is no way of telling what direction it is pointing from inside the house and its movement is less than precise. The antenna comes with 35 feet of RG6 cable but I noticed there was no fire rating on the cable and I was going to insert it through the wall into my media room which is adjacent to the garage. I ordered 30 feet of Perfect Vision RG6 cable which is fire rated CL2 and has a solid copper 18 AWG wire. You need solid copper wire to power the amplifier in the antenna, copper clad steel RG6 cable will not work with this antenna and I wonder how many people who couldn't get this antenna to work were using some pre-existing and wrong cable.Using my recently purchased Tivo Roamio OTA I was able to receive 16 primary stations with many sub-channels. The channel strength feature on the Tivo tuner showed the strongest signals were pegging at 72 percent, the weakest at 52-55 percent. On the Tivo tuner anything above 40 percent will display a picture. I have had some very windy days and the swaying trees have caused some of the weakest (VHF Hi) channels to pixelate and lose the picture so it's not the perfect solution for my location and garage placement. Nonetheless I have been quite pleased with its performance given its low cost.

We have a house at the lake located (inconveniently) 60 miles from TV stations in either direction. We previously had one of the square "hang in the window" style antennas, and we got 4 channels. PBS, (clear), ABC (fuzzy) and CBS/NBC that would only come in fuzzy on cloudy days. I used our old satellite dish base, and steeped down three pieces of PVC to mount this Esky Antenna, let the TV search for channels, and it was like watching a slot machine in Vegas paying off... We hit 31 channels, and I mean crystal clear !!!! The cable company can kiss it !!!! Super easy to set up (if you have, at least, the skills of a 10 year old Lego builder), and super light weight. I was not concerned about the fact that the remote rotation device did not have degree settings on it, because ... Who cares ???? You rotate it standing there looking at the TV screen, and when it gets super clear... You stop... I'm gonna buy another one of these just to put in the motor home for football season... At this price, 4 games and it pays for itself...

Originally in 2014, this antenna came broken, returned it & did not re order. Several weeks ago in 2017, the company contacted me by email wanting me to try their antenna, but we had already put up an antenna. After several emails, they sent e a brand new antenna & let me tell you, their antenna is something else. It is fairly heavy built, easy to put together, easy to install & works like a champ. You can zero in on each & every channel for the best picture. My review has changed & I am very impressed with the product & the company. I have no fears of dealing with or using their products. Yes I do recommend them

In central (remote) Wisconsin, went from 3 channels to 14 channels after switching to this Esky antenna. Mounted perfectly on a 3/4" pipe, and placed on an antenna tower 16' off the ground. Rotated to the perfect position, scanned for channels and received 11 new channels for a total of 14! Previously I tried three other surface/window, flat, power antennas and none worked like this one.

This antenna is meant to be installed outside, on a pole.. but keep reading. Works pretty darn good without!!I got this thing in late after xmas... and the box was damaged, and some of the antenna was bent. It's made from relatively soft aluminum so you can easily bend back straight. It took me about 20 minutes to put together the first time,. I tested it in my kitchen (see picture) and got 15 channels without the amp installed. I live about 35-40 miles from the major stations in east-central KY (40353 zip) I took apart and reinstalled in attic crawlspace and got 17 channels. Not bad for $45! According to tablo there are 24 channels available ones within 100 miles. I wonder what I'll get if I install the amp. I plan on feeding this to the house cabling with a splitter. I've combined this with Roku players on my other tvs to replace Time Warner. I figure I'm saving about $1,200 a year this way.

The antenna works well in my location allowing me to pickup 16 broadcast HDTV and DTV signals with virtually no signal loss ( less breakup and pixilation than we experienced through our cable provider). I mounted it with a Channel Master chimney mount kit Channel Master CM-3080 12-Feet Antenna Chimney Mount for TV Antenna Masts and a ten foot aluminum mast from a local fabrication shop. For less than $100 investment, we are free of monthly cable charges. Between the antenna and streaming internet, we have access to plenty of interesting and entertaining digital content. The aluminum components are extremely fragile and it is highly directional so mounting takes care and may take some trial and error to find the best direction. Real good antenna easy to get together great how to video on youtube.... Was able to get 10-12 channels in the ottawa area in canada ..... Only con is that IT IS NOT HEAVY DUTY !!!!! Why 1yr old daughter could bend most of the antenna material

I would not purchase this item even local stations were not that great, I installed exactly to specs and it still did not work .

It doesn't work. My indoor antennae is better. Extremely disappointed.
