Aqueon Betta Filters Volcano One Size

My betta fish loves riding the bubbles to the surface😂 At first I was like oh no but then he would intentionally swim back into them and do it all over again. Functionally it works great and really helps keep the tank clean. I will say I did not rinse the filter out well enough before installing in the tank and I did notice a little film on the surface of the water from it.

If you need a dual bubbler and filter then this is the one for you.Small enough for a shrimp tank. I bought for a small 1 gallon desk tank for Frye I had bought to allow them to grow out a little before putting them into my big tank. This is definitely a keeper. The sponge filter hooks up to a air pump ( not included) and forces air through the sponge and out through the top of the volcano. My grandbabies love the look and bubbles. I loved the price and that it accomplished exactly what I bought it for .

The media could not be loaded.  I ended up taking the entire thing apart to try to fix the huge burpy bubbles. It has small logs of charcoal inside the filter housing. I removed these and shoved in a extra small sponge instead. Put it in the tank, volcano on top, put the charcoal logs in the top, beauty. It's as low as it will go with our feeding water back up the tube. I also suctioned the base to a glass weck jar lid for stability and to help it not suck up as much sand. Will it last withy hygger mini pump? Not sure. But Jeremy doesn't hate it.

I picked up the nice find for our DIY Tank that my 10 year old and I put together the other day. :-)Works great!! We set the bubbles to pause and blurp ... fun addition and hopefully our Beta will enjoy it for a long time. :-)

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this thing because my fish tank was having a horrible problem. It made it even worst! It doesn’t stick to the bottom of the tank, even though the tank is the same brand as the pump. Please do not worry about the cloudy water. We recently had an ammonia problem, and I think it’s just correcting itself now I would never buy this ever again look how stressed the fish looks. It also doesn’t come with an air pump. It’s just floating around everywhere. It doesn’t connect to anything and can’t even put the volcano on top.

I purchased this product because I wanted to add a second small filter to my aquarium to reduce water changes. I've had this product in my aquarium for about two months and the sponge filter is clean, which is not a good sign considering that it should be absorbing food and fish waste for all these past months. Therefore, I consider this product an oxygen booster instead of a water filter. Overall, I do love that the product is small and natural looking, which is what I was also looking for.

Put these in two tanks for the bettas

This is a great little bubbler/filter for a small fish tank, with one small caveat. The regulator that comes with it doesn't "regulate" the air flow much at all. Even with the valve closed completely, the bubbles still come out very large, fast and loud. This causes a lot of incidental spray at the surface, & a lot of noise as well as a larger disturbance in the tank which might not be ideal for some more sensitive fish. Not a problem for us because my daughter likes the sound and we just have goldfish, but this might be a problem for some ppl or their fish. You can probably get a better regulator for a few bucks if this one bothers you. Other than that, it looks nice in the tank!

This is a great addition to a smaller Aquarium (10g in my case) although the small tube for the air hose often gets blocked and I need a skewer to clear it

The device is suitable for a small fish tank and looks good insitu. The only thing I can say which I do not think much off, is the fact that the bubbles from the aerator are not fine bubbles but rather large singular bubbles. Other than that it is a good unit.
