2016 AHP Mig Welder 200AMP ALPHA MIG 200a

This AHP Mig 200 is a very good welder, especially for the price. I see no reason why it's not on a par with the AHP Tig 200 which about the best buy on the planet, IMHO. It's a shame this company doesn't do a decent job on their website as I think their products are a great value. Their owner's manuals suck and getting information out of them is nearly impossible but, after the taking the covers off of both the mig and tig 200 I feel that their build quality and attention to assembly detail is very good. I wouldn't recommend pushing these welders in a commercial setting but for the rest of us DIYers these are amazing values. Just my $0.02 and it may be worth less.

The one I got is defective and I will be returning it. Worked the first day but has sense consistently failed to feed due to some sort of short in the liner welding the wire in the line causing a jam. even if my machine was not defective I would still not be very pleased with the machine. the drive roll assembly is very cheap and flimsy there is a randomly secret option for stick welding that is not covered in the manual. if you are wondering what the nob on the far right is that is for stick dig control but with no read out to tell you your amperage why would you ever stick weld with this? The gun is too short to be useful and in general this is not a well thought out machine. I like my AHP tig machine so I gave this a shot your mileage may vary but I regret the purchase. on the positive side I didn't get any hassle returning the machine so the company itself is good i just didnt like this particular product

Great welder for the price. Never had any issues with it. Not a professional welder but better than harbor freight by a long shot.
