nice, heavy bell, with a loud, deep tone
This is a great bell. We used this as a stage prop in a gym, and it was loud enough to be heard even over the DJ playing. Nice, thick, heavy tone with the larger bell (I got the 11 inch version) and the bell is well-built and heavy, even if it is only aluminum (it is NOT brass).

Bell is 8 inches with a pull cord but finish chips easily
This bell has a finish that chips easily. But it sounds good snd is the right size got my custom fireplace arch.
