Helps with pore size and easy to use
I like this product. The esthetician used a pro version of this at my facial and I decided to try this home version. It is perhaps not quite as strong as the pro version, but still has lots of suction power and is helping to maintain my facial results. I use primarily on my nose and surrounding area and do see results. Consistency is key. I did not have any difficulty with the suction and bruising or red marks. The power level is adjustable and the instructions do say not to hold it in place for more than 2 seconds. I think the proper technique, based on my facial is to use in a dragging or sweeping motion and just keep it moving. It only take a few seconds to use 1-2x per week. It does make a nice difference in my skin and pore size.

Skin pickers rejoice
I’ve gotten a lot better about (not) messing with my skin, but I figured this machine would be worth a try for extractions between facials. 100% worth it!Okay, now the disclaimer: *move a lot faster and with less passes than you think necessary* - if you don’t, you risk reddening your face for more than a few hours (see my photo from the morning after using this for the first time - whoops ..and it seems like I was one of the lucky ones). Here’s what I’ve learned:1. Move a lot faster and with less passes than you think necessary (worth repeating)2. Hold the skin around the area you’ll be applying the machine to very taut. This seemed to help me remove the suction faster, avoiding blue or purple marks.3. Steaming is key - I sat with my face in front of a steamer for 5+ mins beforehand. Minimum recommendation per instructions is 10-15 mins.4. Making the area of the face I was treating wet (in addition to the steaming) right before running the machine over it might have made it easier to move across the skin.5. I washed my face before and after using this, just in case any of the extraction stuff had gotten rubbed around on my face.6. Directions say to use this max 2x/week. It’s that powerful, so I’d abide by that.I wish there were more specific instructions on how to remove the suction from your face (hence so many people with purple, blue, red bruising), but this thing works really well.

It Sucks, But, Like, In A Good Way
It has a small learning curve, as all these little machines do. Whenever you're buying one of these, the function for them is essentially the same. Some come with a prettier casing or a cute little display, but you don't need extra things for it to do a good job. So save your money and just buy this if you're going to get one.Prior to using it:Steam your face for a good 5 minutes. Despite popular myths, hot/cold does not control how your pores react (entirely). Steam at least helps introduce water to your solidified oils, making them easier to suck out.Using it properly:The vacuum seal is to help suck out very loose gunk, but it's more for pulling a section of skin as taut as possible. Then the rims of the nozzles essentially act like fingers. So you want to do nice circular motions to attack your pores at all angles. Don't linger over a spot for too long or you'll get bruises. They go away fast, but still. Have a q-tip handy to clean out the nozzle every 6-10 seconds.Vs sebum:The white stuff that you can squeeze out of your pores like toothpaste. Whatever you see in the nozzle will most likely be this stuff. Sebum in itself isn't bad. But a lot can make pores seem bigger or several layers of "plugs" that may trap bacteria.Vs blackheads:This is much trickier, since blackheads are trickier in general. Extracting blackheads that are way deep down will take quite some time. Each session you help loosen it day by day. It takes hitting the blackhead with all angles. Don't be surprised if it takes you over a week to safely remove a stubborn blackhead. And don't be surprised if a REALLY stubborn blackhead never comes out without professional assistance.Vs whiteheads:The super gross obvious pimples. I get 1 or 2 every few days and removing them is a pain. When they're "ripe" this machine will make sure to suck out ALL the goop so none of it stays behind. It also seals up super quick, probably because the vacuum action draws blood closer to the surface. No more pin pricks, heated rags, and 2+ minutes of squishing needed to get rid of these gooey jerks anymore. So ironically, this isn't best used a blackhead remover (none of them are, really). It's best used as a whitehead destroyer and a blackhead prevention tool. Though considering how difficult blackheads are at removing, this does a decent job (although lengthy since you can't linger in a problem area for too long). Since it doesn't involve metal tools, sucks up all kinds of goop, and focuses on the entire face - I say it's one of the safer and cleaner way of removing a blackhead, but not the most efficient (professionals can scoop those badboys out within minutes, so they're technically the most efficient). Either way, 5 stars. Just don't expect it to suck out every single blackhead on your body right away, give it time.

Does the job but be careful
It’s easy to use and the instructions/instruction book are straightforward. It can leave the face a little tender afterwards, it’s best not to use it for too long per session. Use with caution. However, it is effective in picking up blackheads and dirt from the pores. As recommended in the instructions, you should use a warm towel or facial steamer before to open up the pores and the remover does its job. Not a bad product to have around.

Happy With Purchase
This skin vacuum works reasonably well and has a good price point. I had what is commonly referred to as “golf ball” chin, meaning the crease on my chin was deep (usually an aging thing). I got fillers to remove the crease but when I did, these large pores with some sebaceous debris that had been hidden by the crease now was visible. I bought this device with skepticism. I’ve used it twice now in 3 weeks and am very happy with the results. Per the instructions you should only apply the suction for 2 seconds. This didn’t seem long enough to remove the gunk so the first time I went overboard and applied it for 6 seconds. It definitely left red marks that took several days to go away; entirely my fault. The second time I used it I applied it for 4 seconds which seems perfect. The debris was gone and the red marks were minimal; easily hidden by foundation and almost gone by nightfall. I’ve attached 3 pictures after my second use: a close-up of the cleared pores, a wider shot to show the minimal red mark and a third to show after covered with a little foundation. Super happy with results!
