Esthederm - Cellular Body Dry Oil - Nourishing and Comfort Feelings

Like it but I feel better the Bio oil and cheaper

Another product from Institut Esthederm that I entirely enjoyed.I loved its effectiveness and the scent, though the last is strong.I'm applying the oil after the shower on the wet skin and it makes me feel divine. It makes my skin soft and moisturized, though this effect stays less than a regular body cream for dry skin. The oil is liquid, like water.There is something luxury about that oil - the scent, the bottle, the colors. I see it as a great gift alongside with a spa gift card for a friend, who is into luxury brands and products and love to be pampered.The only thing it is missing is the pump.And shake it well before each use.

I've tried a fair few oils in the past and never been that fond of them, so I was absolutely surprised that I really liked this one. My main problem with oils is that it feels like they never properly absorb and leave a really greasy film on skin. This is described at a dry oil and I'm not sure what that means, but I found it to be a lot less greasy and lighter feeling than oils I've previously used. It absorbs fairly quickly and feels silky and soft on the skin as you're rubbing it in. On my hands, especially, it absorbed fully within half an hour, though on the rest of the body, I'd advise applying it near the beginning of the day, so you don't get any on your bed sheets.It has quite a strong, perfumed smell, but I like it. I found it to be quite sweet, with a hint of floral smell, but quite fresh as well. I do think a pump cap would be preferable as I found the bottle a bit annoying to squeeze with oily hands.One thing I would say is, compared to the Cellular Fondant Cream (by Esthederm) this doesn't heal skin as quickly. Like if your skin is very dry and flaky, I would recommend the fondant cream instead, but this does leave skin so silky soft very quickly. So if you have un-damaged skin that just needs softness, this is an absolute gem of a product. After one application my skin was soooo soft. When I use body lotion, it usually takes a week to get to even half the level of softness that this brought in one application.I will definitely buy this in the future.

Completely surprized that this oil would make such a difference in such a short time.I have medical issues which cause my skin to be horrifically dry.After all the OTC creams, including good old Glaxal base, homeopath suggestions and prescriptions I thought that I was stuck with white flakes forever.It must have something to do with the "biomimetic" lipids ( fancy marketing name or not?). At least that's the only thing that I can see that is really different than the other things I've tried.This oil absorbs unbelievably fast, maybe because my skin is (was) in such bad condition, but non the less it doesn't leave any residue on the surface. That's another thing about the Institut Esthederm. Because it doesn't leave the yucky residue like most of the other things I've tried, I know it is working under or in the skin where it needs to be. The residue from the others would just sit on my skin and not do anything for the dryness.Although I find the current price of $39.00 a little steep for my personal budget, it is well within fair market value.

This is one of the nicest smelling, most effective oil moisturizers that we have used to date. In just a couple of days, we started seeing results. Over the course of a week, the results were dramatic, when it came to some of the rougher and drier patches of skin on various family members.For an oil, it absorbed amazingly fast and left behind, no greasy residue. However, I found that because it absorbed so quickly, we went through a fair amount of product relatively quickly. We have started using alot less of the product in order to stretch it and we are still witnessing excellent results. Perhaps we were simply applying it too generously at the beginning.While we find the price a little high for the size of the bottle, there is no arguing the results and if we continue to see these excellent results while using far less of it, the pricing would be more in line with what one might expect.If you prefer oils over lotions or creams, this is an excellent product that we have no problem recommending.

Never used a body oil before and was quite surprised. Though a high price point, you do get a lot of product.My skin gets dry during certain times of the year, so when I tried out this body oil I noticed a significant difference in my skin the next day. The scent is a bit stronger than I like for my products but it isn't offensive. I used it mostly on my arms which had dry skin and they were really soft after use.I was worried I'd get the product everywhere or that it would be too oily, but it managed to dry down quite quick. I wouldn't use too much since it would take longer to dry and can get on your clothes and sheets, but a little went a long way for me.
