Very Nice Ring Compressor
This ring compressor worked very well on 3.25" pistons. The locking mechanism worked very well even on the tightest compression of the rings. I only did 4 cylinders but so far very nice ring compressor.

Simple tool.
This tool will work but it should be lubricated prior to using it to compress the rings. The tightening mechanism binds if it is not well lubricated. The rings should be compressed as far as possible prior to trying to slide the piston and rings into the cylinder. Lubricate the cylinder as well.

Doesn't work, pulls oval instead of round
This thing is HOT garbage. End of the band won't actually pull into round behind the ratchet mechanism, so the rings aren't actually compressed against the piston.That people are giving it 5 stars and saying it works is legitimately mind-blowing.
