This unit does very well at solving issues for me of using one aerial to feed 2/3 televisions. The quality feel of the unit is good and it was very easy to install (plug and play). My Televisions now have full signal and quality. Do make sure your aerial is good and correctly aligned and check all the connections that they are good and no shorted wires before powering up the amp. Should some short circuit exist then a red warning light on the unit will light so that you can take action on that connection. I have found that some new smart televisions have aerial inputs that can cause a red short circuit light to appear on the unit. I am no electrical expert so I asked for advice and was told to change my wall plate (the tv aerial socket on the wall) to an isolating version and this has cleared the red light warning and all works very well. I have heard of some buyers of this unit to dislike the power on lights of this unit saying they are too bright. Well my amplifier is in the loft and I find it useful to have the glow in my roof space. All round nice bit of kit that hopefully lasts for years as it does the job perfectly for me. I am very happy and recommend this unit.

Good booster/distributor.
I purchased this amplifier to replace one which had died.It works fine and gives good signal strength to a TV in a bedroom which was a problem device. It has 'short circuit protection' built in and an indicator LED, however on mine the short circuit LED lights whenever anything is plugged into any of the outputs...even a single 1 metre coaxial cable on it's own so I guess it's too sensitive or not working at all. That said the unit (complete with short circuit LED) gives a strong signal to all my connected devices including 2 TVs and a computer TV card.

Good splitter, modest amplifier, but not cheap
I had 2 of the previous models of this which still work fine now many years later (5-6?) acting as distribution for roof antennas. They are reliable but don't really "amplify" the signal, the gain is modest but it makes up for splitting the signal to 3-4 receivers.I had to get a new one (this model) as I lent one that has mysteriously gone missing. Hmm, perhaps it is "too good".As others have found the "short-circuit" light always seems to come on, this happens even on the latest model - no matter to what is connected. In any case the device works just fine, so just ignore it.If you can get older models for cheaper I'd say go for one of those, the new model only has 4G/mobile filtering which you may not need.

Does the job
I bought this to replace my existing amplifier which is over 15 years old so I had hoped that I would notice an improvement in reception with a new unit. This one seems to work fine but not noticeably better than the old one. It does the job so no complaints.

Decent option for any installation, with built-in 4G blocking
As part of upgrading the aerial installation at my parents' house, I needed a new distribution amplifier as the old one literally fell apart when I moved it! There are only 3 TVs currently but I opted for this to allow for future expansion. It works I also liked the in-built 4G mobile signal blocking - this is useful as the Government have allowed the 4G mobile spectrum to be expanded which can cause TV interference. The gold connectors give me peace of mind against corrosion and the unit itself seems sturdy and well-built so I have no concerns about having to replace it.

Caution -Sky output might need retuning!
I bought this to replace an earlier item taken out by a nearby lightning strike. I thought it would be a simple straight swop but it isn't. If connecting this to a sky box you need to change the output RF frequency from channel 68 to one lower down (I think it is less than 50). I changed mine to 40. This is easy to do - there are instructions on the internet if you need them. You then need to retune the analogue input on your TVs to this output. I sent the first unit back thinking it was faulty, and when the replacement arrived and didn't work either I rang the Philex technical support who very quickly told me this. Unfortunately it wasn't in the instructions supplied! Apparently it's all to do with the higher frequencies being sold off for 4G, so I guess the new unit filters out those frequencies.

Great solution that gives a powerful boost to your signal
I used this to replace other boosters as I was having to use two to get four outputs but when one of the boosters failed I decided to buy this. I have had a two output version from SLX and it worked really well to I went for the same manufacturer. This was rapidly delivered by Amazon prime which was important to me. The product was easy to install and worked brilliantly. I have 100% signal strength on HD and SD freeview channels on all outputs and a great picture.

... low signal strength I expected to have a slightly better quality to the channels
After buying this booster to help with low signal strength I expected to have a slightly better quality to the channels. The actual finishing result however was that I actually lost channels and strength while having this booster plugged into the tv.Not very happy with the product.
