A Brilliant but mis-titled Jazz Album.
Lovely jazz album by the velvety voice of Chet Baker . But just one problem, the track I was most looking forward to, the title song "Lets Get Lost" simply wasn't included on this excellent jazz compilation.

Perfect moment in recording history
I'm not particularly keen on some of Chet Bakers output, but this is sublime music. It transcends genre.He takes a bunch of well worn standards and makes them fresh and meaningful. Always understated, every note is there by necessity - expressive, timeless. You really feel all the life experience of this guy flowing from his damaged soul - amazing.After a hard tiring stressful day, pour yourself a drink and put this on - you really will get lost with Chet.

Love this. Frankly his voice is shot by this point in his career and so if your looking for that young Chet with the sweet voice this ain't it. This is old drug addled Chet with the voice that strays but I think it is perfect the way it is and perfectly puts him in the right context for those later years. Trumpet is fine and backing band keep it modern.

Meraviglioso Chet...
E' la colonna sonora del documentario dedicato al grandissimo Chet Baker, uno dei pochi, credo, che può essere paragonato a Miles Davis.La musica è meravigliosa e ottimamente eseguita. Consigliato agli amanti della bella musica, qui le etichette contano poco.

Certamente non il meglio di Chet
Ovviamente amo la musica di Chet Baker e in ascolto dei primi pezzi l'ho trovato sublime, anche pensando alla malinconica tristezza che ispirava la sua musica proprio nei giorni che per lui stavano per volgere alla fine. Poi però, proseguendo nel puro ascolto e cercando di non farmi condizionare dalla storia personale dell'interprete, ho trovato ogni pezzo sempre più monocorde e noiosamente simile ai precedenti. Chet ha fatto di meglio, molto meglio!

Meiner Meinung nach eine seiner besten Scheiben. Er hat viele gemacht und alle Lovesongs rauf und runter gesungen und trompetet, aber - diese ist anders. Seine Stimme so weich wie Butter, so sanft, so leise und voll Emotion. Die Trompete klingt wie er singt, ein Hauch. Die Standards sind nicht einfach runtergespielt. Alles stimmt. Das ist meine Lieblings-CD vom ihm.

ottimo disco il brano 8 poi è un pezzo da favola con chitarra e piano un disco che non può mancare in una collezione di un appassionato di jazz IMPERDIBILE

Le souffle au coeur
Très chanté, ce disque met en évidence deux choses. D'abord, l'incomparable lyrisme de Baker. Ensuite, la révélation que sa voix et sa trompette ne sont qu'un seul et même souffle, exhalé par un artiste qui s'incorpore à sa musique comme nul autre interprète. A la fin de "Let's Get Lost", juste avant d'entamer le poignant "Almost Blue" de Costello, on entend énoncer en substance par Chet Baker que le public cannois présent s'en fout pas mal de la musique. Lui ne s'en foutait pas, pour notre plus grand plaisir.
